Kurzfassung englisch:
In the THz gap, there is a lack of portable technology with good enough energy efficiency to enable the future of telecommunications. Many of the computational tools available to explore this gap need to take concepts from the domain of electronics and photonics. In this work, we propose a way to take profit of the coherent interaction between electrons and electromagnetic field, in a fully-quantum way, to achieve new phenomenology in Resonant Tunnelling Diode (RTD) at THz frequencies. We propose a new model to extend the Landauer theorem at higher frequencies, including the displacement current.
