Kurzfassung englisch:
Resonant-tunneling diodes (RTDs) have re-emerged in the last years as a promising and viable technology for sub-THz and THz radiation sources. Recent development in RTDs and THz RTD oscillators will be described. Strategies and concepts to increase their operating frequencies will be pointed out, different types of fundamental RTD oscillators and novel concepts of the oscillators will be outlined.
