"Impact of Different Surface Finishes on Insertion Loss for Microstrip Resonators up to 110 GHz";
Talk: IEEE Radio 2017, Cape Town, South Africa; 09-25-2017 - 09-28-2017; in: "IEEE Radio and Antenna Days of the Indian Ocean", (2017), 2 pages.

English abstract:
Within this paper four different surfaces finishes, as well as plain copper tracks, were investigated to evaluate their impact on insertion loss on Microstrip (MS) ring resonators. The selected surface finishes are electroless nickel immersion gold (ENIG), electroless nickel electroless paladium immersion gold (ENEPIG), immersion tin, and gold. All of the examined platings consist of a verying number of layers (one to three), utilized materials, shelf life, and price. These platings are investigated by measurements up to 100 GHz.
