Kurzfassung englisch:
Ultrasonic (US) positioning systems are mostly directed at indoor tracking of mobile devices. However, they also get growing importance for locating a substantial number of static sensor or actuator devices which are communicating via wired or wireless sensor networks and are applied for controlling complex decentralized functionalities. the US positioning system LOSNUS presented in this paper is designed for both locating of mobile devices and also of static deviced which can be numerously deployed. Primarily for meeting the demands of static devices, the system is optimized for cheap realization, offers locating with high accuracy, and can be applied up to medium high speed. Beside of principle of operation, receiver design, and basic measurement results, also security aspects are presented in the paper.
