English abstract:
This paper presents a hardware channel emulator for UHF 868/915 MHz radio frequency identification (RFID) systems. The emulator on the one hand allows for reproducible tests and performance evaluations of different RFID tags, readers, and systems for pre-recorded scenarios - on the other hand the channel emulator is a big asset for research purposes. This work discusses the requirements for an emulator and the built RF-Hardware. Finally, exemplary verification results of a commercial reader are presented and the emulator's performance is verified.
